Self-assessments by plan

The 30-day plan includes no self-assessments, the 90-day plan one, the 180-day plan two, and the 360 and 730-day plans three. Extra forms are sold separately for $50 each, with two weeks of access.

Extras that cost more

  • QBank Plus adds medical videos for $99 more on every plan.
  • Extra self-assessment forms are $50 each.

Which plan to buy

  • Short dedicated period (4 to 6 weeks): the 30-day plan plus one $50 form comes to $399, $60 less than the 90-day plan but with 60 fewer days of access.
  • Most students (2 to 3 months): the 90-day plan at $459 is the usual starting point.
  • Starting during clerkships: 180 or 360 days, since you will practice across months.
  • Step 1 and Step 2 CK both: compare the 360 and 730-day plans, which include three assessments.

A cheaper way to cover the same weeks

If you mainly need practice and scheduled review of weak concepts, MedPrep Institute is $40 per month or $110 for three months, and for any plan up to six months it costs less than UWorld, AMBOSS and TrueLearn. Many students use MedPrep for daily practice and buy one UWorld self-assessment form later. Start with the free Step 1, Step 2 CK and Step 3 sample questions, then the 7-day free trial.
